About Dr. Richeson
Elizabeth L. Richeson was born in Chicago, Illinois. She received her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland at College Park. Her Master's Degree in Community Clinical Psychology was from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Howard University in Washington, D.C. awarded Dr. RIcheson a Ph.D. in Psychology.
In 2001 Dr. Richeson received a Master's of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology. In addition, Dr. Richeson has post-doctoral training in Medical Hypnosis. In 1985 she was licensed as a Social Worker in Texas, and in 1988 gained recognition as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) and granted Private Practice recognition. Since 1989 Dr. Richeson has been certified and licensed as as a psychologist in the State of Texas. In 1992, Dr. Richeson became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In 2001 Dr. Richeson received a Master's of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology. Dr. Richeson currently practices as a licensed psychologist in Texas and retired her license in Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapy.
Dr. Richeson provides services to adolescents and adults in the following areas: Anxiety Disorders; Binge Eating Disorder; Bipolar Disorder; Depression; Divorce Recovery; Eating Disorders; Gay/Lesbian Issues; Grief and Loss; Panic Disorders; Parenting Skills; Phobias; Physical Abuse; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Sexual Abuse; Sexual Issues; Sleep Disturbance; Step Families; Teen Dating Violence and Women's Issues. Dr. Richeson serves on the Advisory Board for Jennifer Ann's Group, an international charity producing and researching serious video games that prevent Teen Dating Violence and teach students about consent.
